The History
Residential Castles have been building homes in Canterbury for 20 years.
Founded by Karl Eastmond, Residential Castles was born out of his passion for building solid, quality homes, and his disappointment with the compromise on standards in the market place.
The aptitude is in the gene pool as Karl’s great-grandfather was a pioneer as one of the first carpenters in Christchurch.
A Master Builder since 2004, Karl started on his own in 1996 and was highly trained before then by a Master Builder who specialised in residential homes and alterations.
As the company grew, other skilled carpenters joined the team and were trained with Karl’s rigor and expertise to produce the same uncompromising standards and quality that he believes in.
The name Residential Castles was created after Karl visited beautiful castles all over Europe. He came back inspired to build solid, durable homes in his home country.
20 years on, Karl still holds the same passion, works directly with every client and manages each single project. He’s never hired project managers or sales people. Instead, he wants to work directly with you which has been the secret to keeping to tight timeframes with incredible, award-winning standards.
